The attempted robbery occurred in the Upper Frank Street area early on Sunday.

Shortly before 12.15am, police received a report that a woman was chased by two males, one of whom had a knife.

The woman sustained injury to her face when she was pushed and her face was hit off a window sill. Her injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

The males did not get any money.

They are described as both being approximately six foot tall and in their early 20s.

One was wearing a black mid length coat, dark trousers and a blue scarf round his face and the other was wearing a blue coat with a hoodie and dark jeans.

Detectives would ask anyone who witnessed this incident or who has any information to contact them at Musgrave.

Time was that this would never have happened. Is it me but is the "peace process" responsible for a rising crime rate? Just an observation, it doesnt make me a bad person.......
