The 31-year-old was left badly shaken and suffered minor injuries after a man jumped into her car as she was leaving the Kennedy Way carpark on Friday evening.

The man, reported as being in his 20s, threatened her with a knife and forced her to drive a short distance before forcing her from the silver coloured Rover 25 and making off.

He has been described as being of slim build, approximately 5' 6" tall and was wearing dark coloured clothing and a hooded coat with a scarf across his face.

Police have appealed for information about the incident, which happened at about 10pm.

A statement continued: "Police would appeal to anyone who witnessed this incident or anyone with any information about the movements of the silver coloured Rover 25 to contact Detectives at Grosvenor Road on 0845 600 8000."
