The victim was walking in the Rossnareen Avenue area on Thursday at 7.10am when she was dragged behind nearby garages by a man and attacked.

He then searched through her handbag, before making off empty handed.

A police spokesperson said:"The woman was left very shaken after the incident."

The attacked is described as being in his late 20s, around 5ft 7in tall, clean shaven and of stocky build.

He was wearing dark clothing, trainers and a hat with a hooded top over it.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have noticed anything suspicious in the area at the time to contact them.
