Counties Fermanagh, Londonderry and Tyrone will be affected by the heavy downpours, especially over higher ground.

The rain will move across the affected counties from Saturday afternoon until Sunday morning - south-westerly gales will also accompany at times.

A Met Office spokesperson said rain will fall onto already saturated ground bringing a risk of localised flooding.

The wet weather is expected to clear later on Sunday morning.

Monday and Tuesday are expected to be showery with some snow on the hills.
