Patrick Joyce, 30, is considered to have broken the terms of his licence after being released from prison and officers want to put him back behind bars.

He was jailed for six years, with an extended licence period of five years, in September 2008 for a robbery he carried out in Southall the previous January.

Mark Stott from Lancaster & Morecambe Intelligence Unit said: "We would ask the public to be vigilant and report any sightings to the police - any details could be crucial."

Joyce, who has connections to both Northern Ireland and Middlesex, is described as being around 5ft 11ins tall and of average build with blue eyes and short light brown hair. He is usually clean shaven and speaks with an Irish accent.

Anyone with any information is asked to call Lancashire Police on 101, or to pass information anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

I don't know if he is hiding in Northern Ireland, but he is definitely not off working as a male model in Europe,....
