A Magherafelt man accused of setting up a camera and computer system to spy into neighbours' bedrooms is facing new charges of possessing indecent images of children.
Prosecuters allege one of the photographs was found on a new laptop belonging to Rodney Seffen, 38 - a laptop he bought after he was first granted bail on voyeurism charges.
The High Court was also told more than 50 indecent images had been discovered during analysis of computer equipment and discs during earlier searches of Seffen's home.
Seffen is already facing charges of voyeurism, recording a person in a private act, and operating equipment for the purposes of voyeurism.
He is alleged to have been viewing both a mother and daughter in another house in the area, by installing a video camera near his chimney and removing roof slats. Images were said to have been relayed to a computer monitor in his kitchen and prosecuters also claimed binoculars - including a zoom-style pair - were discovered.
Seffen, a graphic designer said to have exhibited throughout Europe, was released on bail in September to live at an address approved by police.
He was returned to custody earlier this week following the alleged discovery of indecent images.
Kate McKay, prosecuting, said: "The new thing that has come to light is this new laptop which has been looked at by police. Police found one indecent image on it of a child they reckon to be about 14 years of age."
Mrs McKay also made clear that the images identified had been put in the lowest, category one type involving posing.
A defence barrister said Seffen accepted having up to 10,000 images - some nude, others partially clothed or anatomical - solely for professional purposes.
The lawyer stressed his client denied downloading the image found on the laptop, an advanced model costing £1,600.
It was claimed that up to four other people had access to the computer.
But refusing to re-admit Seffen to bail, Mr Justice McCloskey said: "The court finds it quite startling that the applicant acquired that laptop and then left it the disposition of a number of other persons.
"I do find that difficult to understand. If that is true he was acting quite recklessly."
