Both of the vehicles were stolen on Monday morning - one car was recovered later that day.
A police spokesperson said: "In cold weather, often motorists may be inclined to turn on their vehicle and leave it running in the driveway to demist and warm up, while they continue to get ready inside the house.
"I would advise all motorists not to leave the keys in the ignition of any unattended vehicle. It only takes an opportunistic thief several seconds to act."
Police are requesting anyone who notices suspicious activity involving vehicles to report it to them immediately.
