Viable device in west Belfast alert

A viable pipe bomb-type device has been found during a security alert in west Belfast.

The Army's bomb squad carried out a number of controlled explosions in the Stewartstown Road area following the discovery of a suspicious object early on Friday morning.

The device has been removed for forensics examination.

Although the alert has ended, police have warned members of the public in the area to be vigilent.

The RUC did nothing, the PSNI does nothing, why are people suprised? They also have themselves to blame for punishment attacks. Had they done their job in the first place we wouldnt have republicans policing the community. And all these devices are just inconvenience, nobody cares because there is no real goal when theyre set.
