The uncle of a man stabbed to death in Belfast has been ordered to stand trial for his murder.
Samuel Morrison, 47, is charged with the killing of George Morrison last July.
The 29-year-old victim, a homeless man, was found lying on an avenue off the Cliftonville Road in the north of the city. He had suffered a number of stab wounds.
During a preliminary enquiry at Belfast Magistrates Court on Thursday prosecutors submitted that there was a prima facie case against Samuel Morrison.
The accused, who is from north Belfast, offered no evidence to the hearing.
Granting the prosecution application, District Judge Fiona Bagnall returned him for Crown Court trial on a date to be fixed.
She also allowed a defence request for two barristers to represent the suspect.
Morrison was released on continuing bail to stay at his current address, the Must Hostel, Molesworth Street, Cookstown
