The attacker, who was armed with a gun, demanded cash when he went into the premises on the Andersonstown Road at 6.45pm on Saturday.

No one was injured during the robbery but staff were said to be shocked.

The robber - who is understood to be aged in his 30s - is described as being of stocky build and was wearing a grey hoodie and a black cap.

Meanwhile an unrelated attack took place at a bookies in the Springfield Road area around two hours later.

A man went in with a suspected firearm and demanded money but made off empty-handed in the direction of Springfield Avenue.

Once again no-one was injured in the incident.

The man is described as wearing a balaclava, black leather jacket, blue jeans and black shoes.

Anyone with information on either attack has been asked to contact police.
