Two men released over crossbow attack

Two men, aged 39 and 42, arrested on Tuesday in connection with a crossbow attack in south Belfast have been released unconditionally.

A 42-year-old man and his female friend escaped injury when the bolt was fired through a window of a flat at Donegall Mews at on Tuesday 8 October shortly before 9pm.
The foreign national, who had only recently moved in, said at the time it narrowly missed his head before ending up in the kitchen, embedded in a toaster.
The two men were questioned at Antrim Serious Crime Suite before being released without charge.
Detectives have asked anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area at the time of the incident or who has any information to contact them.
