Two people have been trapped in their vehicles following a crash in south Belfast.

The two vehicle collision happened on the Annadale Embankment shortly after 9.30pm on Wednesday.

An Ambulance Service spokesman said one person has been taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital for treatment.

Police and fire crews were also at the scene of the crash.

The road was closed for a time at the junction with the Ormeau Road and King's Bridge.
