A 45-year-old man, who works on a stall on Royal Avenue, was attacked at around 5.30pm.

He sustained minor injuries in the attack, police said.

Two men, aged 18 and 25, were detained at the scene. They are currently assisting police with their enquiries.

A spokeswoman for the police said the incident was being treated as a hate crime and the attack was racially motivated.

The knack is when people are arrested for these crimes...hold on to them..you hear of arrests and then there released..don't arrest them if your going to let them go..does that make sense?
