A man and a woman have escaped injury after an arson attack on a house in Cookstown, Co Tyrone.

The blaze in the Killymoon Crescent area was reported shortly after 4.30am on Wednesday and fire crews attended.

The pair, who were in the property at the time were not hurt, but the house was substantially damaged.

Anyone who witnessed the fire or has any information is asked to contact police in Cookstown.
