Two charged in hammer and stab attack

Two people have been charged over a hammer attack and stabbing in Bangor.

The incident took place in the Silverstream Avenue area of the Co Down town shortly after 8.30pm on Friday night.
A boy aged 17 was seriously injured and knocked unconscious after being hit across the head with the hammer - another man aged 20 was stabbed.
Police arrested an 18-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman on Saturday.
The pair have been charged with possession of an offensive weapon and two charges of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
They will appear at Newtownards Magistrates Court on Monday.
