Two bailed over Cody dog attack

Two men arrested in connection with the attack on Cody the collie dog in Maghaberry have been released on bail.

The two men, both aged 21 years old, were arrested on Tuesday.

They have both been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Cody, owned by the Agnew family, was doused in a flammable liquid and set alight in the Maghaberry Road area of Lisburn on Sunday, 26 August.

The family pet is making progress at the vets with the help of strong pain relief.

So sorry to hear that beautiful wee Cody has passed away. Justice needs to be served. Such an act leaves a sickening feeling in your stomach. Such a cowardly act on a defenseless wee dog. Rest in peace Cody. God bless you.

so sorry 2 hear cody has died . my thoughs are with u . how can someone do such a terrible thing 2 a beautiful dog . i would hate 2 be them , having 2 live with what they done for the rest of there lives
