Shots were fired at three officers as they attended a suspected hoax burglary report in the Foxes Glen area of Dunmurry on 16 May.

As they got out of their car, up to six shots were heard.

Witnesses said the officers dived for cover and crawled on the ground until they reached their own vehicle before leaving. No-one was hurt, but children had been playing in the area.

Two men aged 20 and 21 were arrested in Lisburn on Friday morning.

A spokesperson for the PSNI said: "Both men have been taken to Antrim Serious Crime Suite and are currently helping police with their enquiries."
