The 17-year-old, who is autistic, was subjected to a brutal assault and was left for dead in the Laganbank Road area of the city in September 2012.

Police investigating the attack arrested two men aged 23 and 25 on Friday.

The pair, who were detained on suspicion of attempted murder, have now been released on police bail, pending further enquiries.

Scott was in hospital for six months following the vicious beating - during which he was repeatedly kicked in the head - and spent three of those months in a coma.

He now uses a wheelchair due to the extensive injuries he received.

Police are continuing to appeal for information about what happened and have asked anyone who may be able to help to contact them on 0845 600 8000.

Hopefully the scum that carried out this vile attack get a lengthy sentence. This young man, who is autistic, was left for dead, and will live every day with the results of this savage beating.
