Two men arrested in connection with a bomb attack in Belfast city centre have been released unconditionally.

The pair, aged 34 and 44, were detained on Wednesday morning in north Belfast in connection with the incident on 24 November.

A man was hijacked and forced to a drive a 130lb car bomb to Victoria Street, close to the Victoria Square Shopping Centre.

The device partially exploded as police were still examining the scene.

Following questioning at Antrim police station both men were released without charge.
