Two ‘injured by bottle’ in east Belfast

A man and woman have reportedly been stabbed with a broken bottle in east Belfast.

The incident happened at around 3.10am on Sunday in the Templemore Avenue area.

When police arrived at the scene they found an injured 19-year-old man and 24-year-old woman.

A spokesperson for the PSNI said: "The injuries are thought to have been caused by a broken bottle and both were taken to hospital for treatment".

Police asked anyone with information to come forward.
