Trio bailed over Poleglass murder bid

Three people, who were questioned by police in connection with an attempted murder in west Belfast, have been released on bail.

A 46-year-old man suffered cuts to the neck and leg and a jaw injury during the assault in Poleglass on Tuesday.

His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening at this stage.

Two women - aged 57 and 35 - and 17-year-old man were detained at the scene in Brian's Well Court at 6.50pm following the incident.

They were released on police bail on Thursday.

Officers said their inquiries into the attempted murder are ongoing.
