A traffic attendant has been involved in a hit-and-run in Omagh.

The man was working in the High Street area of the Co Tyrone town when he was struck by a silver Honda Accord car outside a shop at around 2.50pm on Friday.

"It is believed the car drive off from the area and hit the attendant. The attendant is not believed to have been seriously injured during the incident," a PSNI spokesperson said.

"It is believed that a number of people were in the area at the time of the incident who might be able to assist with police enquiries."

Anyone with information is asked to contact police in Omagh.
