The child was in a buggy which was hit by the empty parked car which rolled onto the Comber Road on Saturday afternoon.

A woman who was with the buggy was also hit. She was treated in hospital for injuries which are not thought to be life threatening.

Police have confirmed that the toddler has died at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast.

A 31-year-old man arrested in connection with the incident was released on bail pending further police inquiries.

paula i would gladly lend a hand in financual matters to help with the funeral of this little boy but im sure money is the last thing on this poor mothers mind. no money in the world can replace a child and im sure the young man whose car it was would wish to have the child alive and would be the last thing on his mind that his insurance would cover it
