Two men were attacked in the Springhill area of the city at around 2.00am on Saturday.
One has been treated for injuries to his thigh while a second male was injured in the pelvis and buttocks.
A 32-year-old man was arrested in Belfast on Saturday and was taken to Antrim Serious Crime Suite for questioning. He has since been released.
In a separate incident around an hour earlier, a 23-year-old man has been shot in the foot in the McDonnell Street area.
None of their injuries are believed to be life-threatening. Anyone with information about the attacks is asked to contact police.
