The 45-year-old was attacked during a fight at the front door of a house in the Parkmore area at around 12.45am on Sunday.
He was treated at the scene by police officers and paramedics before being taken to hospital where he later died from his injuries.
Police arrested three men aged 20, 27 and 36 in connection with the death.
Mayor of Craigavon, Cllr Carla Lockhart said the stabbing was an alarming turn of events in the area.
"Those who have carried out this heinous crime must face the full rigors of the law.
"The people of Parkmore are quite rightly shocked and stunned at this cold, callous killing in their area and they too want to see the individuals concerned dealt with by the law."
Upper Bann MLA Jo-Anne Dobson said her sympathies are with the victim's family.
"It seems to me that far too many people are prepared to resort to violence these days without a single thought for the devastating consequences of their actions and now a man is dead," she commented.
The PSNI has appealed for anyone with information to contact them.
