Three teenagers are still being held for questioning about a stabbing in Belfast city centre.

An 18-year-old man was attacked shortly before 8.20pm on Saturday, close to the footbridge on the east side of the River Lagan.

He was taken to hospital for treatment for injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.

A police spokesman said: "Anyone who witnessed suspicious activity should contact detectives on 0845 600 8000, alternatively information about crime can be passed anonymously to the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111."
