Three people have been arrested after a man was stabbed in Portrush, Co Antrim.

The incident happened in the Causeway Street area at around 12.30am on Friday.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment.

His condition is being described as not life threatening, a police spokesman said.

Two men, 18 and 24, and a woman, 19, have been arrested.

They are assisting police with their enquiries.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
