A woman in her thirties has been left "severely shaken" after being threatened, assaulted and robbed in her home in Draperstown.
Two men, believed to be in their twenties, forced their way into the victim's home at around 10.30am on Friday.
The woman was punched in the face and had a ligature placed around her neck, as the two robbers demanded money.
Both wore balaclavas rolled up to their noses and spoke with Northern Ireland accents.
Police said they made off in a small blue vehicle in the direction of Plumbridge with a small sum of cash.
One of the suspects was described as about 5ft 6 or 7ins tall, clean shaven and slim. Police said his accomplice was a bit shorter and stocky.
The woman received hospital treatment and was left "severely shaken".
Police have appealed for anyone with information to contact them.
