Teens injured in Derry assault
Two teenage partygoers have been injured during late-night violence in Londonderry.

The pair, dressed in military-style camouflage and face paint, were confronted by a group of assailants at Butcher's Gate at around 10.30pm on Sunday night.

A 17-year-old boy was headbutted and hit over the head with a bottle.

When his friend, aged 16, intervened, he was attacked by a woman with a bottle and another member of the group.

They were treated at the medical centre at the Guildhall.

Detectives have appealed for anybody with information to contact them.

Unfortunately this happens on a nightly basis in Derry - never mind a city of song - it's a city of thugs. And I live here!
