Teenager charged with rioting

A 16-year-old boy has been charged in connection with rioting in north Belfast.

The teenager was charged with riotous assembly, possession of an offensive weapon and attempted grevious bodily harm with intent.
He is due to appear before Belfast Youth Court on Friday 25 January.
The charges are in connection with public disorder which broke out in the Denmark Street area of the city on Sunday 2 September.
Police officers were injured after violence broke out and missiles were thrown following a republican march in the area.
