The boy was charged with two counts of taking part of an unlawful public procession and breach of bail.

The charges follow an arrest in the Peters Hill area of the city on Saturday afternoon by police officers from the Operation Dulcet team who are investigating offences linked with the ongoing flag protests across Northern Ireland.

As is normal procedure the charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.

The protests are not working, me and friends use to go peacefully protesting when the flag first went down but from early on the numbers were falling and now theres no more protests in my area for well over a month now, as much as i hate to admitt it i think all PUL community know our flag isnt going back up until loyalists have the majority again in city hall. The protests were failing from the start becos of lack of leadership, now days their lucky to get over 50 on a saturday at belfast city hall. People have to stop rioting and misbehaving becos your only going to end up with a criminal record while ones like willie frazer and jamie bryson can wash their hands off any blame whenever they want.

They put convicted terrorists in govt and give then 70K a year and arrest 16 years olds for protesting mmmmmmmm only in Northern Ireland could this happen. If this 16 year old gets a criminal record he wont even be able to vote in future!!!!

If he breached his bail conditions, what's the problem? He should expect to get scooped.

must be a loyalist controlling the comments, no swear words or derogatory remarks and my comment wasn't posted simply because im stating the obvious that more protestors should be arrested instead of the eeny meeny miny mo tactics they are using..
