Scott, also 17, was discovered at the disused World of Furniture showroom on the Laganbank Road at 10pm last Friday, after going missing the day before.

The teenager, who is autistic, was seriously injured in the attack and remains in a critical condition in hospital.

As part of the investigation, police officers searched a property at Ashmount Gardens in the Hillhall Estate.

A number of items were removed for investigation.

The detained teen was arrested on Thursday night and questioned by the PSNI in Lisburn.

He was released on police bail on Friday evening pending further enquiries.
