An 18-year-old man is being treated in hospital after falling from a cliff in Portrush.

The teen suffered a head injury after he dropped three metres at Dunluce Castle shortly after 5pm on Friday.

He was rescued by the coastguard and taken by ambulance to the Causeway Hospital in Coleraine.

A spokesperson for the hospital said he is in stable condition.

His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
