Teen charged over robbery

A teenager has been charged after a 16-year-old boy was robbed in Ballymena, Co Antrim.

The incident happened at Larne Road Link on Saturday shortly before 7am.
The victim was assaulted by a gang of three and had a sum of cash taken from him.
He was left badly shaken and with minor injuries, a police spokesperson said.
Police detained three youths on Saturday -two aged 16 and one aged 19.
A 16-year-old boy has been charged with robbery. He is expected to appear before Coleraine Magistrates' Court on Monday.
The two other teenagers arrested at the time have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
