Teen arrested over Springhill bomb hoax

The PSNI are questioning a teenager in connection with a hoax bomb warning claiming a device had been left in the Springhill area of west Belfast on Tuesday

A teenager has been arrested in connection with a hoax bomb warning in west Belfast.

The 19-year-old is being questioned after police received a call at around 6.45pm on Tuesday.

It claimed a device had been left in the Springhill area. Nothing untoward was found and the suspect was arrested in the area a short time later.

He is currently assisting police with their enquiries.
