The discovery of suspected ammunition in Lisburn sparked a security alert in the city on Thursday afternoon.

The find was made on waste ground near the Tata Steel works on Moira Road, police said.

It has been taken away for forensic testing.

Moira Road was closed for a time, but has since reopened.

There are no further details at this stage.
