Suspicious object found in Derry car

A number of homes have been evacuated in Londonderry after a suspicious object was found in a car.

Army technical officers are attending the security alert in Northland Avenue area of the city.
The Brooke Park Centre has been made available for residents.
A number of men have been arrested in connection with the incident and are currently assisting police with their inquiries.
There are no further details at this stage.
