A man has escaped from a flat uninjured after a suspected arson attack in Bangor, Co Down.

The fire started at the first floor premises on Lisnabreen Walk just after 10pm on Wednesday.

A man was inside at the time but escaped unharmed.

Police would like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident who may be able to assist them with their enquiries.

Anyone with information is asked to contact detectives in North Down on the non-emergency number 101.
