Two girls, aged five and nine, and an eight-year-old boy were at home at the time when a shot was fired at the window of the front door of the Colin Road property at around 9.30pm on Monday.

The woman reported that the window on the front door of her home had been damaged and when the door was looked at in daylight, a PSNI spokesperson said it appeared a shotgun had been fired at the house.

It is not yet known why the house was targeted.

Police have appealed for anyone with information about the shooting to come forward.
