It happened at Oil Can Harry's pub on Lower Mount Street on Saturday at around 10pm when two gunmen entered the premises and opened fire on a group of people.

The victims, aged 19 and 20, were transferred to St Vincent's Hospital by ambulance where they remain in a serious condition.

The gunmen escaped in a dark coloured car heading in the Ballsbridge direction driven by a third person.

The area remains sealed off by gardaí.

No arrests have been made.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses particularly those who may have been inside or in the vicinity of the pub/Mount Street Lower - or anyone with information in relation the car involved - to contact them.
