Patrick Carvill, who is 29 and from Knockbane Road in Middletown, received a suspended sentence in court on Friday.
Officers from the Northern Ireland Environment Agency visited the unauthorised scrap yard on the Knockbane Road five times between August 2010 and June 2012.
They observed multiple piles of scrap metal and crushed end of life vehicles.
Mr Carvill had no waste management licence in place for any of the waste activities on site.
He pleaded guilty to four charges of keeping waste without a licence for the site and received two conditional discharges, suspended for 12 months, one two week custodial sentence, suspended for 12 months and one custodial sentence for four weeks, suspended for 12 months, with all sentences to run concurrently.
