It was claimed an elderly man walked up to the 10-year-old as she left her primary school and asked her to come to his house for buns.

Police said the incident happened at around 3.30pm in the Bracken Avenue area of the town on Tuesday, before being reported on Wednesday.

The man was described as being elderly, bald and wearing jeans and a green body warmer.

Anyone who saw a male matching this description in the area or who has further information is asked to contact police on 0845 600 8000.
