With a cool £2m guide price, the five-bedroom property in Moneyreagh comes complete with its own private golf range, tennis court and gym.

The new owner has not been revealed, but the mansion has been taken off the market.

McIlroy, 23, splashed out over $10m on a new home in Florida towards the end of last year.

He now lives in the exclusive Old Gate area of Palm Beach gardens, close to the $80m estate of Tiger Woods and The Bear Club Golf Course owned by Jack Nicklaus.

The property boasts six bedrooms, a gym, putting green, swimming pool and its own private jetty.

He'll forget where he's from. Just like McDowell and his marbles in his mouth.
