A suspicious object at a business premises sparked the third alert on Thursday evening.
Sloan Street was closed while army bomb experts examined a holdall reported by a concerned member of the public. It was found not to contain anything untoward.
Largymore Primary School was also evacuated in an earlier security alert.
Army technical officers carried out a number of controlled explosions on items in a stolen car - but these were subsequently determined to be not suspicious.
Mercer Street, between the Hillhall Road and Saintfield Road has now reopened.
Meanwhile Barrack Street in Lisburn reopened following another operation at Lisburn Police Station.
The incident happened shortly before midday, when a suspicious object was brought to the station by an unsuspecting member of the public.
A PSNI spokesperson said the object was examined and seized for investigation.
