Over 100 people lost their lives on Northern Ireland's roads so far this year, it has been revealed.
Road safety week will see a series of events this week supported by the DoE, police and fire brigade.
Environment Minister Edwin Poots said: "So far this year 104 people have lost their lives on Northern Ireland's roads and my thoughts are with each of those bereaved families. We have to remember that every one of these deaths involves a real person and a real family.
"As road users, we each have a responsibility to avoid this terrible grief happening to our own, or anyone else's family.
"Road deaths continue to plague our society and we all need to make every effort to bring it to an end."
