One of the men threatened staff with a hammer during the robbery of the premises close to St George's Market at around 5pm on Thursday.

The pair made off on foot towards the Markets area with medication, including Temazepam and Diazepam, and cash.

Police have warned the public not to take the stolen prescription drugs.

"The tablets are dangerous to health if taken without being prescribed by a member of the medical profession," said a PSNI spokesperson.

Anyone who finds or has these tablets is asked to hand them in to their nearest police station as soon as possible.
