People in the Sandy Row and Donegall Road areas of south Belfast have been warned to be vigilant following a report of a suspicious object.

Police advised anyone who comes across an unusual object not to touch it but to contact the PSNI immediately on 0845 600 8000.

A statement on Monday evening explained: "This follows a report that a suspicious object may be in this area.

"At this stage nothing untoward has been found."

If the police release a press statment like this you would think they would be on the ground how random is it.... if they have no idea what or where it is why release a statment to the press... scaring the whole community... psni are a joke
