Police seize cannabis worth £1m

Drugs with a potential street value of £1m have been seized by police in Co Down.

The haul of cannabis plants were uncovered by police at premises on the Dundrum Road, Dromara.

The discovery was made during a planned search of farm out-buildings by the Police Service Drugs Squad.

The search operation began at around 8.30am on Thursday morning.

No arrests have been made, but police said their enquiries are ongoing.
