Police are investigating a suspicious fire which extensively damaged a house under construction in Ballymena, Co Antrim.

The blaze took hold at a two storey mid terrace on the Culleybackey Road at around 5.30pm on Thursday.

Three fire engines were called and the incident was brought under control by 6.25pm.

Police described the damage to the building as "extensive" and said the fire is suspicious.
