Police patrol find sparks security alert

A security alert in the village of Eglish, Co Tyrone was sparked by a discovery made by a police patrol on Saturday morning.

The alarm was raises after the patrol found a suspicious object attached to a telegraph pole, at about 10am.
The discovery was made at the junction of the Cadian Road and the Killyliss Road, which was closed to traffic for a time.
The alert has since ended and has been declared a hoax.
